At Animade, I had the chance to collaborate on unique projects for Facebook: reimagining their iconic logotype through animation. These “Wordmarks” were used across the Facebook app and website to highlight key global events, blending design, storytelling, and tech to deliver powerful visual messages.
As a project lead, designer and animator on several Wordmarks, I contributed from concept to final export.
Each Wordmark required a sensitive and creative approach - reflecting themes like Pride and International Women’s Day with visual nuance and inclusivity.
We animated the chosen concept using vector-based workflows, balancing playfulness with clarity to preserve legibility while injecting life into the familiar Facebook logo.
It was an exciting challenge to reinterpret such a globally recognized logo in a meaningful, respectful, and visually engaging way. Seeing these animations shared with millions of users across the US and UK was a rewarding reminder of the power of motion design at scale.
