To mark the finale of Chilly’s Artist Series, we brought the surreal world of legendary artist Reg Mombassa to life - creating playful and delightfully weird animations for Chilly’s socials and website. The campaign blended humour, nostalgia, and premium design to spotlight the latest bottle collection in style.
I led this project from concept to delivery, directing a team of animators, 3D artists, and sound designers to capture the eccentric charm of Mombassa’s characters, aligning creative vision with technical execution.
To stay true to Reg’s distinctive style, we crafter a film that balanced narrative flow with visual humour. The film starts with little teasers of each bottle, and reveals the full scenes on both bottles at the end.
To do so, we blended 2D and 3D animation techniques to preserve the retro feel of the artwork while elevating the bottle’s premium aesthetic.
The result? Wonderfully weird animations full of personality—approved by Reg Mombassa himself. This project was a joy to lead and a perfect blend of art and fun!
