During my time as a Creative at Animade, Messenger approached us with an exciting challenge: bring their first animated sticker pack to life using Lottie.
They offered me the wonderful opportunity to create my very own sticker pack at Animade for Facebook Messenger!
The brief? Create a set that speaks to everyone - bold in style, rich in feeling, and full of dimension.
I kicked things off with some big questions:
What are the most-used stickers?
Why do people turn to them?
And what emotions just feel better in motion?

Since people often use hearts next to another emoji when messaging people they love... what if those two were combined in an emotional and heart felt pack!
A pack made of a heart character could soften any extreme emotions and show that behind any sadness or anger we might feel, it's still coming from a place of love...
That thinking led to "Heartfelt" - a trio of expressive heart characters with their own look, shape, and soul.
While joy, love, and excitement were obvious must-haves, I made space for the trickier stuff too: fear, frustration, anger, even sadness.
I developed a bold, graphic style that captured these feelings in motion—easy to read, endlessly loopable, and full of heart.
With a team of eight brilliant creatives, we brought them to life to add even more emotion to our characters.
The result? A playful, nuanced, and vibrant set that lets Messenger users express more than just words ever could!
