For my partner Judith's 30th birthday, I created a playful, heartfelt passion project: a medieval-style fairy tale written and designed just for her. Inspired by her love of Shrek, the story was packed with references to her favorite things and set the stage for a surprise birthday talent show with all her closest friends.
Titled Judith Forever After, the book was styled like a golden medieval manuscript - equal parts absurd and affectionate. Though only extracts are shown here (it’s a long tale!), every page was crafted to celebrate her, with storytelling that wove in jokes and memories.
Book Design: Illustrated and typeset in a gold-accented medieval aesthetic, matching the fairy-tale vibe of the evening.

Gifts: As the final “plot twist,” we revealed a custom-designed set of train tickets for a scenic trip around Scotland, paired with a matching birthday card - all in the same visual style.
This was a love letter disguised as a fairy tale—silly, sentimental, and totally her. A reminder that the best projects are the ones made for the people we love most.
